Join us for an intimate, unplugged night with Houston's award-winning family musician Leah White celebrating the release of the new album Houston: Our Roots Are Strong by Leah White & the Magic Mirrors at the home of Phoebe & Bobby Tudor. Friday, September 16, 6:30pm until 8:30pm. $50/person.
Our Roots Are Strong takes families on a trip through Houston's past with fourteen fun songs that inspire a love of history and preservation. Honoring Houston's 175th birthday, this album shows the world that OUR ROOTS ARE STRONG!
Tickets may be purchased at www.ourrootsarestrong.com; by mailing a check payable to "SWAMP" to 1519 W. Main St., 77006; and at the door. All funds for this event go to Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP), which is the nonprofit fiscal sponsor for this project. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law since SWAMP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media arts organization. All funds will be used to finish the album and to create a video to accompany it.
