I know what you’re thinking: “Summer Camp” is already on my brain? Heck yeah! Now that the thrill of Spring Break is gone, it’s time to start planning for summer and registering your kids for camps. I’m always amazed by the frenzy that starts this time of year – in fact, some camps may already be full.
If you need a speaker to come to your group and talk about ideas for summertime fun, call me at 713.482.7065 and let’s talk. I’m ready to share the joys of summer!
And now -- check out these summer camps endorsed by GISH PICKS…
Kids Camp at The Council, affiliated with The Betty Ford Children’s program, is a four-day prevention and support program designed for children ages 7-12 from families who have struggled, or are still struggling, with substance abuse. Art, games, role-play and fun activities help kids learn to identify and express feelings, develop self-care skills and deepen communication with their family. They learn they are not alone and that other kids and families have similar experiences.
The French Alliance’s children’s program immerses children ages 4-15 in the French language, allowing them to learn in a natural way, through visual, kinetic and auditive experiences. The Alliance is a nonprofit founded in 1923 to promote French language and culture and French/American friendships.
