Hello dear GISH PICKS reader! Ok, really – summer is creeping closer which means it’s time to figure out where to send our kids for day camp fun! I recently spoke to Courtney Perna of GREAT DAY HOUSTON about summer camps – check out my interview here. We watched kids act with an Alley Theatre teacher in the classroom – it’s so fun to see camps come alive in that way!

Check out THE SUMMER BOOK® ONLINE and start your camp search now. You can find camps by age group, area of town, subject matter, and much more! It’s so easy, you’ll love it. Best of all, you can search from anywhere – the carpool line, at work (shhh!), and while at the beach. My guide to summer camps is the LARGEST and MOST ACCURATE guide in the city – I’ve been researching summer day camps since 2003 and love finding cool camps for kids. I’m all about IGNITING LIVES (see why here) and exploring interests during the summer at camps are a great way to do that.

And because I not only like to PICK events that are great, I also love to make recommendations of summer camps and organizations that offer classes. Below is my list of ones I want you to check outthere’s even one for parents so they can understand what their kids are learning in math classes. Happy searching!

One last thing: if you have any questions or would like a speaker to come and talk to your group about summertime family fun, please contact me. I’d love to help!
