Hello dear GISH PICKS reader! Summer is creeping closer…I promise you it’ll be fun with my help! Check out what I told Deborah Duncan recently on GREAT DAY HOUSTON – I spoke to her last week and last month about all the fun camps Houston has to offer – from fencing camps to nature camps to opera camps and much more! Whew, such fun for kids.

Deborah and her staff found these great camps by looking through the almost 200 camps listed in THE SUMMER BOOK®: A GUIDE TO HOUSTON DAY CAMPS AND CLASSES FOR KIDS AND TEENS, which you can purchase from these fine retailers: Barnes & Noble; Blue Willow Bookshop; Brazos Bookstore; British Isles; Cactus Music; Children's Museum of Houston; Christ Church Cathedral Bookstore; Fundamentally Toys; Kaboom Books in the Heights; The Motherhood Center; River Oaks Bookstore; and Second Baptist Church. You can also purchase the book online directly from me which will get it to you in approximately 2 days from order date.

Do you need a speaker to come to your group and talk about ideas for summertime fun? Call me at 713.482.7065 or email me ( and let’s talk. I’m ready to share the joys of summer! And if you are a summer camp director and need help marketing your camps or summer programs, contact me and I can help out.

And now -- check out these summer camps endorsed by GISH PICKS…
