Camp Invention is a nationally-acclaimed weeklong summer adventure for students entering grades one through six. Certified teachers lead hands-on scenarios that reinforce and supplement school-year learning in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Children work together to seek innovative solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills such as teamwork and creative problem solving as they rotate through four modules each day that disguise learning as fun. Camp Invention modules include I Can Invent: Balloon Burst™, where students design balloon bursting machines, while learning the importance of gears, motors, springs, and magnets. The Action and Adventure Games™ module, a participant favorite, combines physical activity and creativity during fun, energetic games. Let your child be a part of the magic and power of art this summer for a weeklong arts camp held at Hope Center Studio in the Montrose area of Houston. Our talented and skilled Kid’s Play master teachers will guide your young artists in dance, theater and music. No prior arts experience or classes are required. The weeklong intensive, meeting Monday through Friday from 12-3pm, immerses your child in an arts education filled with creativity, fun and empowerment. The camp meets for two separate weeks, according to age group. Register early as space is limited.

This is the 13th year of “Peace Camp” and we are expanding from holding camp at the beautiful Cameron Retreat Center on the grounds of the Dominican Properties at Holcombe near Almeda to also holding camp at the Houston Mennonite Church on Wirt Road. This year’s theme will be “Courage” and we’ll have yoga, drumming, puppets, cooperative games, and special guests as part of the program. Peace Camp is not religious and welcomes all children. There will be a family potluck to kick off Peace Camp on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30pm at the Cameron Retreat Center.

This will be our second summer to offer camps for paintball players that want to have fun adding skills to the ones they have now. The camp leaders are players in the area that have been playing on a competitive level in the sport, and the camp will offer basics all the way to playing in your first event whether it be beginner to national level competition. The camp will also teach you how to clean and maintain your equipment and be ready for play, as well as what to do on the field if you have an issue. TANK'S camp offers a safe environment for the campers along with fun and the camp fee includes 1 case of paint, lunch, t-shirt, and drinks. We will have gifts for all the campers as well.
