BAYOU BEND WINTER BREAK WORKSHOPS

Limited availability; advance registration is required.
Each day, children create projects based on Bayou Bend's 2011 Yuletide display, HOLIDAY TIME AT BAYOU BEND; light refreshments included. On December 28, children explore the celebrations of the winter season on exhibit in the historic mansion. On December 29, a walk around Bayou Bend's 14-acre gardens and woodlands provides the inspiration for a nature-based craft.

HOLIDAY SWIM AND SCUBA CAMP

Kids get to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, and play water games in the indoor heated pool. Art projects, crafts, board games and social games are available during the warm up periods. Whether you need child care or the kids need to get out of the house for a couple hours, come join in the fun!

Winter Camp Zoofari is an action-packed, hands-on, day camp for kids ages 4-12. Kids learn about the natural world, wildlife conservation and the animals that call the Houston Zoo home. These educational, fun-filled camps fill quickly, so be sure to register soon!

Through games, activities, service projects, and interactive learning experiences, TWRC campers will connect with the wonderful wildlife native to Texas. Campers can get up close and personal with education animals and will even have the opportunity to care for some very special animals throughout the week. They’ll be able to lead adventures in their own backyards after learning all about the amazing wildlife and habitats right here in Texas.
