Camp Invention is weeklong summer adventure taught by certified teachers. Lessons explore innovations in science, technology and engineering. Student teams work to seek solutions to real-world problems with inspiration from video clips of inventors from the National Inventors Hall of Fame. The 2016 Epic program includes: 1) Brainstorming product ideas and building original prototypes using components found in everyday devices; 2) Designing an eco-theme park by analyzing the factors of ecological diversity, required machinery and the physics behind innovative eco-adventures; 3) Constructing and personalizing a DIY solar-powered cricket with a unique habitat; 4) Discovering the science behind coding, demolition, electronic sound, giant squids and slime.
