Houston Makerspace offers two different DIY camps this summer that are so fun, your child won't even realize they are educational! The two camps are offered over the same one week period, with the Young Makers Sewing Camp in the morning and the Young Makers Craft Camp available in the afternoon! Over the course of five days, students in the Sewing Camp can learn the hands-on sewing skills necessary to create some awesome treats that they will take home: a craft apron, a reversible tote bag, pajamas, a cupcake pincushion and a personalized journal with notes on what they have learned! In the same time frame, Craft Camp students will learn skills in gardening, molding, chemistry, carving, drawing and physics through completing useful projects! Tuition for each camp includes all materials, a mid-morning snack, and one-on-one instruction. There is a discount for students who choose to attend both morning and afternoon camps. The June session is for campers age 8 to 12. The July session is for ages 13 and up.
